My contribution - a fabric covered journal and a matching credit card holder.
I have chosen a beautiful red Liberty Bloomsbury Garden fabric (by Liberty of London), some matching perle 8 thread and some natural coloured hanky linen.
I loved combining the hand and machine work and the hanky linen (55% linen, 45% cotton) is really nice to sew with - not quite as open a weave as 100% linen.
The inside of the journal cover is lined with the same luscious liberty fabric and I even managed to find an A5 sized art journal with a matching blue cover!!!
I wonder if I would be politically incorrect to try to win this prize back - I really don't want to part with it!!!
This buddy to the journal - a credit card holder - will hold up to ten credit sized cards.
for all those cards you need to carry but not necessarily in your purse or wallet.
Again, the same fabrics and combination of hand and machine sewing.
So, if you fancy these prizes (maybe an early xmas pressie to yourself!) why not join in the fun. You can find out how and all the details here (with Rachael) and here (with Kelley).
Until next time, happy quilting, knitting, sewing, crafting ....

ReplyDeleteI am in agreement... I'd have a hard time letting these beauties go. Love your mix of linen, bright fabric and hand stitching!
